Studio history

Loving Daybook Storage grew from cupboard surveys in Patershol into a Korenmarkt practice that still measures every Ghent home in person.

1. 2016– Elise Vermeiren and Tomas Claeys rebuilt the pantry and under-stair store of a lane house near the Castle of the Counts. Neighbours asked for the same shelf logic, so the pair began keeping a notebook of Ghent cupboard depths and chimney returns.
2. 2019– The studio opened a small desk at Korenmarkt 8. Work widened from kitchen pantries alone to utility stacks and hallway peg walls for terraces toward Brugse Poort and flats near Sint-Pieters station.
3. 2022– Kids gear walls and labelling packages joined the catalog after school-bag piles kept reclaiming kitchen tables. Seasonal collaborator Anouk De Smet began drawing rail layouts for growing households.
4. 2025– The practice still runs as a three-person core: Elise on surveys and labels, Tomas on carpenter briefs, Anouk on gear walls when diaries overlap. Follow-up visits after install remain part of full pantry packages.
